Winter Markets
If you know us, you’ve likely picked up on how much we love the local markets in Greater Victoria! Fortunately, there’s plenty to enjoy year-round.
These upcoming winter markets are a fantastic opportunity to shop local for the holiday season:
Sooke Winter Market at Sooke Region Music and Visitor Information Centre (December 2): Enjoy a variety of vendors including food and farms, spirits, artisans, community organizations, and youth-led small businesses.
Christmas Spirit Market at Metchosin Community Hall (December 2): Local vendors plus hourly prize draws and gift bags for the first 30 guests!
Winter Bazaar at Gorge Park Pavilion (December 2-3): Gather for a gorgeous day at the *new* Gorge Park Pavilion with over 90 artists, designers, and craft food creatives from across the Island and BC.
Holiday Market at Langford Veterans Memorial Park (December 2): Langford will be buzzing with festive energy this holiday season–with the holiday market featuring musical performances, cookie decorating, balloon art,face painting, and free hot dogs and hot chocolate while supplies last! Catch the market before or after the Annual Langford Light Up, happening just across the street at The Langford Station Arts & Cultural District.
Yuletide Market Series at Bilston Creek Farm (November 10-December 21): Seven unique markets open from Friday-Sunday, 10am-4pm, throughout November and December.
Winter Market at Junction Cidery (December 10): Enjoy local food, makers, music and cider at Junction Cidery from 11am-4pm.

Winter Fest in Langford (Kicking off December 2): Alongside the Holiday Market and Annual Langford Light Up, the Tinsel Gazebo will be ready for your holiday photo ops–use the hashtag #WinterInLangford for a chance to be featured on the @CityofLangford. Register for the Holiday Wreath Making Crafternoons on December 2 & 9 and take home your own beautiful 12-inch evergreen wreath.
Teen Winter Ice & Roller Skating at Langford City Centre Park (December 1-22): Free, teen-only roller skating and outdoor ice skating with themes and prizes! Skate and helmet rentals are included and there will be a special on s’mores–2 for $5!
Holiday Events in Langford (Throughout December): There’s plenty of events for everyone to enjoy in Langford this December, visit their outdoor ice skating rink, attend live ice carving events, enjoy holiday colouring sheets, and participate in the Langford Stuff the Trolley Challenge to support the Goldstream Food Bank and other local charitable organizations–all alongside local vendors, food trucks, and light displays.
The Gift of the Nutcracker at the Royal Theatre (December 28-30): An enchanting story performed by the Ballet Victoria and the Victoria Symphony.
The Magic of Christmas at The Butchart Gardens (December 1-January 6): An annual tradition, bundle up and walk through the Twelve Days of Christmas magical light display with traditional carollers and free carousel rides all evening.
Festival of Trees for the BC Children’s Hospital at the Bay Centre (November 16-January 3): This annual event will feature 100 sponsored trees for the community to vote on and enjoy over the holidays, with all proceeds going towards cancer research at BC Children’s Hospital.
Gingerbread Showcase for Habitat for Humanity at Hotel Grand Pacific (November 25-January 4): The theme for this year’s Gingerbread Showcase is Family Traditions.
