Mother’s Day (May 12)

Mother’s Day Brunch at Oak Bay Beach Hotel (May 12): An indulgent brunch buffet in the ocean-view Grand Lobby. $129 per adult, $59 per child, and complimentary for children under 3. 

Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet at CRAFT Beer Market (May 12): Celebrate with CRAFT’s brunch buffet. $35.95 per adult, $15.95 for kids under 12. 

Mother’s Day Weekend at Bilston Creek Farm (May 10-13, 11AM-5PM): Take part in a memorable weekend at Bilston Creek Farm! Explore the craft market, play lawn games, and enjoy food and beverages from Hide N Seek, Glenrosa Pizza, and Bilston Cafe. 

HAVN in Victoria’s Inner Harbour: The perfect opportunity to plan for a vibrant self-care experience at HAVN, with lush green spaces, cold pools, hot tubs, and hand-built saunas all in a floating park-like environment on the edge of Victoria’s inner harbour. 

Mom & Me: Mother’s Day Yoga, Crafts and Play at KWENCH (May 12, 12-2:30PM): An afternoon of yoga, crafts, and snacks with Jen Medak, preschool teacher and yoga instructor! Take home keepsakes include a multi-media canvas painting featuring parent and child and a playdough gift bag from Treasure Box Creative Play Kits. Suitable for children ages 4 to 10.

Mother’s Day Musical Garden Tour With Victoria Conservatory of Music (May 11-12,  10AM-4PM): The 42nd presentation of the Mother’s Day Musical Garden Tour! A self-guided garden tour that includes two days of exclusive access to ten private gardens, musical performances by students and faculty of the Victoria Conservatory of Music, and master gardeners at select locations. All proceeds support access to music education, performance, and wellness in the community. 

Newberry Street Music at Sea Cider (May 12, 2-4PM): Treats, cider, and live music among the gorgeous orchid views!

Victoria Day Weekend (May 20) 

Victoria Day Douglas Mile for Parkinson Wellness Projects (May 20, 8:45AM Start Time): Run or walk down Douglas Street from Summit & Douglas to the finish line at City Hall and lead the Victoria Day Parade! Awards, draw prizes, and refreshments to follow in Centennial Square. All pledges raised will go towards the Parkinson Wellness Projects. 

Luxton Spring Fair in Langford (May 16-19): Carnival rides with West Coast Amusements at the Luxton Spring Fair! 

Thrifty Foods 124th Victoria Day Parade (May 20, 9AM Start Time): The annual Thrifty Foods Victoria Day Parade is back! Showcasing our diverse cultures and celebrating with various community partners and out of town guests.

Victoria Highland Games and Celtic Festival (May 18-19): The longest continually running Highland Games in North America! A family-focused weekend of Scottish and Celtic arts and culture including the Tartan Parade and opening ceremony, pipe band competitions, Scottish Highland dancing competitions, heavy events, Scottish country dancing, folk bands, food and more!  

Shows & Expos

Victoria Pet Expo at Pearkes Rec Centre (May 4-5): Two days of learning, fun, and connection with industry experts, vendors, and activities. Take part in workshops and pet-friendly workouts and yoga classes. Featuring special guests Gone to the Snow Dogs, a presentation by WAVES Vet, and the Mini-Dachshund Dash! 

BC Boat Show in Sidney, BC (May 2-5): Tour boats and yachts, new and used, and connect with marine related vendors and certified yacht brokers at the beautiful Port Sidney Marina.
