Dine Around and Stay in Town presented by Destination Greater Victoria and the BC Restaurant & Foodservices Association (BCRFA) (January 26-February 11): Staycation loading… Enjoy special prices on featured three-course menus at over 40 participating restaurants, and take advantage of special rates at various hotels and accommodations. A fantastic opportunity to indulge in a night out while supporting Victoria’s local food scene.
Victoria Film Festival – 30th-Anniversary Celebration (February 2-11): Celebrate Victoria’s film scene, with drama, comedy, documentaries, thrillers, and short films–there’s something for everyone!
Lunar New Year Celebration: Year of the Dragon presented by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association in Canada’s oldest Chinatown (February 18, 11:30AM-3:30PM): Join Lunar New Year celebrations in Victoria Chinatown, with arts performances, a parade, and blessing of the merchants–scaring away evil spirits to bring good luck, prosperity, and good health to business owners and employees for the New Year.
How to Start an Urban Farm in Victoria at Victoria City Hall (February 7, 5PM-8PM): Connect with established local urban farmers and City of Victoria staff to learn more about what it takes to grow and sell food commercially in Victoria. This is a free event with tips and resources! Supporting small-scale commercial urban food production improves community access to healthy, local food while providing economic opportunities to local growers.
Lovers Lane Market presented by Made Markets at the Langford Station Arts and Culture District (February 11, 11AM-3PM): Celebrate love with a fun community market including over 45 vendors, music, cocktails, a photo booth, and jewelry bonding!
Sweetheart’s Market at Bilson Creek Farm (February 9-11, 11AM-5PM): Valentine’s Weekend at Bilston Creek Farm, make memories with your sweethearts browsing specialty vendors, enjoy sweet or savory bites from Country Crepes and Spoon & Spade, warm up with a hot drink from Bilston’s cafe, and hunt for the Golden Heart–hidden somewhere on the property each day, the finders will win a Fire Pit Experience for 6 and 6 drinks from the Provence Cafe!

Witty’s Lagoon Hike with Meetup (February 3, 10AM-12PM): Explore Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park to Tower Point and back (approximately 2-2.5 hours). Meet at the regional park nature house at 4115 Metchosin Road.
Sooke Coldest Night of the Year Fundraiser Walk with Sooke Shelter Society (February 24, 4PM-7PM): A family friendly fundraiser in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. The walk is a 3km loop starting at the Evergreen Centre (6660 Sooke Road), there will be rest stops with refreshments along the route!

Victoria Home, Renovation, & Decor Show at Pearkes Community Centre (February 23-25): Your one-stop shop for home improvement and building products, services, samples and advice! A free event, full of top companies to help you turn your house into the home of your dreams.
Dream Wedding Show Victoria at Pearkes Community Centre (February 4, 10:30AM-3:30PM): Meet local vendors to help you plan your big day! Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
Entrepreneur Socializing and Networking Event with Meetup at Six Mile Pub + Eatery (February 7, 6:30PM-8PM): Network with other local entrepreneurs! An opportunity to support and inspire one another–discuss a variety of topics and share projects, ideas, and challenges.
Family Fun
Family Day at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre (February 19, 9AM-1PM): Free family fun! Join the Township of Esquimalt for the annual Esquimalt Lions pancake breakfast community fundraiser (by donation), as well as a variety of activities, including Kindergym and swimming!
*Home Activity* DIY Ladybird Valentine’s Day Card with Victoria Bug Zoo (February 14): Craft at home with your kiddos to make this adorable homemade Valentine’s Day card!
Crafts for Kids at the Vancouver Island Regional Library – Sooke Branch (February 24, 11AM-12PM): A free, drop-in event for all ages! Most suitable for ages 3-12 years.
Lego Exhibition at Sidney Museum (January 2-April 1): The Sidney Museum has been transformed for the 18th Annual LEGO® Exhibition! View space explorers, medieval castles, recreations of famous landmarks and more with these timeless and nostalgic building blocks! Admission is by donation.
Library Indoor Family Storytime with Stay and Play at the Greater Victoria Public Library – Esquimalt Branch (Various Dates): Drop-in for fun-filled stories, songs, rhymes, and puppets for young children and their families!
Family Day at the Horticulture Centre of The Pacific (February 19, 9AM-2PM): Celebrate Family Day at The Gardens at HCP–hosting creative workshops, fun-filled activities, and the Great Backyard Bird Count.
