Kick-off the summer with a wide variety of community festivals, outdoor activities, and special events to celebrate Father’s Day on June 16.
Festivals
Brentwood Bay Festival (June 1): Enjoy a pancake breakfast, parade, and music from Daniel Cook & The Radiators, The Ecclestons, and Black Angus on the Brentwood Bay Festival main stage.
Vic West Fest at Vic West Community Centre & Banfield Park (June 8): This community celebration brings together residents, businesses, and visitors to enjoy live music, an artisan market, Kids Zone activities, a dog show, and more! With food trucks and a beer garden, Vic West Fest has got you covered for a day of fun.
FernFest in Fernwood Square (June 14-15): Fernwood’s annual neighbourhood celebration is back! Celebrating 27 years of arts, music, and community. This weekend is full of family-friendly fun for everyone in the heart of Fernwood.
Victoria Ska and Reggae Festival (June 19-June 24): The 25th Anniversary Festival! Check out fresh and unique sounds from artists you love and artists you have yet to know. Celebrate a vibrant number of genres with roots to the musical movement that began in Jamaica.
TD Victoria International JazzFest (June 21-June 30): “Celebrating 40 years of ten hot days and nights of the coolest music in town!” The TD Victoria International JazzFest is back, with outdoor performances, theatre concerts, and free workshops happening across Victoria and Esquimalt.
Coolapalooza at Sidney Bandshell Beacon Park (June 22): An afternoon of local music in beautiful Sidney by the Sea, in support of the Victoria Cool-Aid Society.
Seaspan Summer Fest (June 23): Spend the first Sunday of the summer solstice enjoying live music, local vendors, entertainers, family-friendly activities, and more at Heritages Acres.

Summer Farmers Markets: Summer Farmers Markets are in full swing now, enjoy local fresh produce, Vancouver Island artisans, musicians, and food trucks from Sidney to Sooke.
June Beach Cleanup – Ocean Week Victoria with Surfrider Foundation Canada at Witty’s Lagoon (June 2): Show love to our local beaches and wildlife by participating in a beach clean-up at Witty’s Lagoon, happening during Ocean Week Victoria! Coffee and snacks provided.
Sooke Secret Garden Tour with Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra & Chorus (June 1-2): Two days of exclusive access to eight private gardens with musical performances, local artisans, and gardening experts to raise money for musical performances and wellness in the community.
Get Unstuck & Validate Your Business Idea with Lunch & Learn at KWENCH (June 18): Looking for inspiration to get an idea off the ground? Join this Lunch and Learn to gain a sense of connectedness and direction. You’ll leave with tons of free resources and a fresh perspective on your next steps.
Father’s Day
Bilston Creek Farm Pizza Pop Ups: Wood fired pizza, hot and cold beverages, and outdoor games at a lavender farm? Sounds like the perfect way to spend a Sunday to us. Pre-ordering for each date will be available one week in advance on the Glenrosa website. Reserve your spot for Father’s Day and get your picnic blankets ready.
Father’s Day BBQ at Tapestry (June 16): Celebrate the father figures in your life with a delicious BBQ meal overlooking Victoria Harbour on the scenic 5th-floor patio.
Father’s Day Brunch Buffet at CRAFT Beer Market (June 16): The CRAFT Beer Market is back with another brunch buffet, this time in honour of Father’s Day! Enjoy delicious food and bottomless beverages with the family.
The Raymond James Father’s Day Walk/Run for Prostate Cancer (June 16): A 3K or 5K walk or run through Vancouver Island Technology Park and surrounding trails. Stroller and pet friendly! Join this important cause and appreciate the quality time outdoors with likeminded community members.
Small Gods Father’s Day Brewery Tours (June 16): A free behind-the-scenes tour of Small Gods Brewing Co, available to groups of 10 every hour on the hour from 12pm-5pm. Hosted by founders Jonny and Chris, learn more about what goes into the brewery and enjoy a flight pre or post tour!
